Overview

South Downs College is a further education college located in Waterlooville, to the north of Portsmouth. The College occupies a single site, purpose-built campus on Portsdown Hill, within the Borough of Havant, while the majority of the College's students are drawn from Havant and Portsmouth. It currently offers 45 A-Level subjects and 40 vocational subjects to full-time students as well as over 600 courses for part-time students.

Some of the College's part-time provision is based off-campus mostly within schools and community centres to meet more localised needs.

Facilities

As well as offering a diverse range of courses, South Down's modern facilities include a large Learning Resources Centre, four cafes, a fitness centre, a purpose built music building with practice rooms, recital rooms and a recording studio, a fully operational training restaurant and a hair and beauty salon (both of which are open to the public).

The College shop aims to supply all students with their academic stationery, art supplies and printing needs at reasonable prices. The shop stocks a wide selection of art supplies and stationery items, as well as offering services such as photocopying, various presentation finishings and bindings, t-shirt and mouse-mat printing and a range of other printing services that are available on request.
