Macclesfield College has an open-plan campus which is state-of-the-art, with industry-standard training facilities including the European Centre for Aerospace Training (ECAT), the Pure Hair and Beauty Salon, the Silk Room Restaurant, the sports hall and fitness centre and a number of specialist art and design studios. ECAT is Macclesfield College’s European Centre for Aerospace Training. ECAT features a purpose built hangar to house its fully functional BAE Jetstream 31 aircraft and is rated amongst the best aerospace training establishments for young people in the UK. ECAT benefits from a fully fitted mechanical science lab and workshop, modern electronic labs and a state-of-the-art ICT suite and lecture room. LRC - the LRC is available to students enrolled on current College/LZ6 courses as well as full-time and part-time staff. Members of the public may use the LRC for reference and private study. Restaurant - with high quality delivery from catering and hospitality students, the sophisticated Silk Room restaurant provides the ideal place to enjoy lunch or dinner. Signature meal evenings held throughout the year give you the opportunity to sample speciality gourmet dinners designed by professional local chefs and prepared by students in the state-of-the-art kitchens.
